Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of the online training courses provided by HESTIA Fire Safety Ltd via the HESTIA training portal. By enrolling on or accessing a course, the participant confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. By enrolling on any of our courses or accessing the HESTIA training portal, the participant confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
1. Intellectual Property and Copyright
All training materials provided as part of HESTIA Fire Safety training courses remain the intellectual property of HESTIA Fire Safety Ltd.
This includes, but is not limited to:
• Video lessons
• Presentation slides
• Course notes
• Assessments and question banks
• Images, graphics and diagrams
• Supporting documentation
• Certificates issued on course completion
These materials are provided solely for the personal learning and development of the enrolled participant.
Participants must not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, share, upload, record, download, or otherwise use any training materials for commercial purposes without the prior written permission of HESTIA Fire Safety Ltd.
Training materials must not be used to deliver, support, or reproduce training courses provided by other individuals or organisations.
Unauthorised use of training materials may constitute copyright infringement and may result in legal action.
2. Course access
Access to online training courses is provided to the individual who has enrolled on the course.
Participants must not:
• Share login credentials
• Allow another person to complete the training on their behalf
• Attempt to bypass course access controls
HESTIA Fire Safety Ltd reserves the right to suspend or terminate access where misuse of the training platform is suspected.
3. Course completion and certification
Where a course includes an assessment, a certificate of completion will only be issued where the participant has:
• Viewed all required course content, and
• Successfully completed the course assessment where applicable.
Certificates issued confirm that the participant has completed the training module but do not imply professional competence beyond the scope of the training provided.
4. Accuracy of training content
HESTIA Fire Safety Ltd makes reasonable efforts to ensure that training content is accurate and reflects current fire safety principles and guidance at the time of publication.
However, fire safety legislation, guidance and standards may change over time. Training content should therefore be considered educational guidance only and not a substitute for a site-specific fire risk assessment or professional advice.
5. Limitation of Liability
HESTIA Fire Safety Ltd shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from reliance on training materials provided through this course.
Responsibility for implementing fire safety measures within any premises remains with the relevant Duty Holder or Responsible Person as defined by applicable legislation.
6. Platform Availability
HESTIA Fire Safety Ltd will make reasonable efforts to ensure that the training portal remains available. However, access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or technical issues.
HESTIA Fire Safety Ltd does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the training platform.
7. Changes to Courses
HESTIA Fire Safety Ltd reserves the right to update, modify, or withdraw course content where necessary in order to maintain accuracy or improve training delivery.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Scotland.
Any disputes arising from the use of this training platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
